I feel a deep seeded (OCDeed even) need to start this blog with an introduction. I'm not an extremely open person, and this might be a good place to center my thoughts as to what will come next.
My name is Daniel, Danny for short and Danyl in it's Russian origin. But scratch that, people call me Nazgûl, or Nazg for short. I also go by Naxgul online. Older friends call me Hobbit, and I have quite an array of personal, situational or just plain silly nicknames. I'm ashamed to admit I encourage it. Hey, everyone needs a hobby.
I'm a self declared, proud geek, part hippie and a liberal.
I'm a technocrat and a 1337 gamer.
I'm a reader, a sci-fi groopie and a big fan of all things fantasy.
I love epics, and hence prefer TV to theater.
I'm an anime Otaku, a Thrones edict, a Discworld fanatic, a Whovien and a Tolkienist (which I hear is called Ringer lately) - among many other things. Frankly, this list could go for ever.
I'm an artist, a graphic designer and a computers teacher.
I'm a cat person and owner.
I have a deep fascination with nature..
I love cooking and brewing, and obviously eating.
I'm a roleplayer, a LARPer a gamer and fencer.
I've been doing some Kung Fu, and I love deep philosophy and good art.
I'm a person of the forest but I love the sea too - lucky for me, I grew up in Haifa, Israel, where I have access to both.
I'm a semi activist and have great opinions about things both small and world-consuming.
I served for three years in the Israeli Air Force. Don't get exited. As "Commander of Multimedia Course", I taught Photoshop and graphics. Had a great time at that, too.
I was raised and grown on the internet - ever since I found out that there were people outside the realm of "normal", boring, people, who no nothing of Tolkien. Hence I'm also quiet the technocrat, and spent a little while in an IT.
I used to be a blogger a while ago. Had a both a public and a private blog to spill out my dire need to communicate myself to the world. It might take a while to get used to, but I see this as a fresh start. I might become a blogger again.
